Car key replacement and duplication in Tenerife

What I can do at your car

Spare keys (transponder/chip keys, flip keys with remote and, for many models, proximity keys for push-button start). Remote fob duplication. All keys lost: I make a new key from scratch and open the car without damage if needed. Lockouts: keys locked inside the car.

I work with the common makes in Tenerife (SEAT, Volkswagen, Renault, Peugeot, Citroën, Toyota, Opel, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Dacia…) and some premium brands. Not every key can be made, so send me the make, model, year and a photo of the key and I will tell you honestly whether I can do it.

Rental car or holiday car? I can help

If you have lost the key of a hire car, contact the rental company first: many have a spare at the office. If they cannot help quickly, send me the car details and where it is parked (hotel, apartment, street). I need the registration document or your rental contract to prove you are entitled to the car before I start a new key.

Where I work

My usual area is within about 30 km of La Laguna: Santa Cruz, La Laguna, the north (Tacoronte, Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, Los Realejos) and Candelaria–Güímar. For the south of the island (Adeje, Arona, Los Cristianos) I only go on occasional routes, so ask first and I will tell you if and when I can.

Price and warranty

Spare key with chip from €40, remote fob from €70; a key from scratch (all keys lost) costs more and depends on the car. The price includes travel within my usual area and a 2-year warranty on the key and the programming. You can pay by card, Bizum or cash, and I can give you an invoice for your insurance.

How it works

1. Send me a WhatsApp with the make, model, year, a photo of your key (if you have one) and where the car is. 2. I reply with a price and a time. 3. I come to the car, make the key, program it and we test that it opens and starts. Opening hours: Monday to Friday 8:00–22:00, Saturday 8:00–14:00.
